We’ve all heard of the Biltmore Estate. I mean it is America’s largest home. With a total of 250 rooms, including 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, and a total of 4 acres of floor space, it was built as a summer home for the Vanderbilts. Yes, you read that right. A summer home.
The house, located in Asheville, NC, is open to the public for tours year round and if you have never been, you are seriously missing out.
While the house is the main attraction, the estate consists of much more. It houses some of the most beautiful gardens in the state, a first class winery, as well as several restaurants and shops. As a major plus, you can also stay on the estate with three different lodging options to choose from, although they are pretty expensive.
You can visit Biltmore Estate any time of the year but you should experience the magic of Christmas at Biltmore at least once. Nowhere does Christmas like the Biltmore!
